Half-Asians

Kimiko Zakreski is a half-Japanese, half-Polish snowboarder from Alberta. She represented Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. She also starred in the MTV Canada reality series Summer Sessions.

She has been prominently featured in countless lists of the hottest Olympians (including this one and this one and this one) as well as on The VERY HOT HOT Half Asian Group on Facebook.

Besides being a snowboarder, she is also a real estate agent.

Continuing on the theme of Next Top Model contestants in the Oceanic region, here is Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 contestant Laura Mitchell. She made it to the sixth episode before being eliminated (another victim of the questionable Next Top Model makeover).

Laura’s Chinese mother is from Malaysia, and her father is from England. She has elicited comparisons to another part-Asian model, Chanel Iman.

Amelia Akiko Nakagawa Gough was a contestant on Cycle 2 of New Zealand’s Next Top Model this past fall. She made it to the fifth episode before being eliminated.

The knock on this half-Japanese beauty was that she had a thicker figure than the typical model and that she looked kinda hoochie in her photos. Well those are two qualities that I’m not going to complain about.

Today is Jennifer Field‘s birthday, and to celebrate I’ve got some pictures, videos, and links for you featuring the birthday girl.

The photos I’ve posted are a sampling from her collaboration with photographer John Agcaoili. More photos, as well as an article he wrote about the experience, can be found on his Tumblr.

I first saw this beautiful woman when she was featured on DJ Mick last month. Then, after seeing more of her on Plunder Guide last week, I just had to feature her on my site.

Nathalie Pasyawon is an actress and model from Switzerland. Beauty runs in her family: her half-Thai, half-Malaysian mother from Thailand was also a model (according to biographical sketches about Nathalie here and here).

Nathalie started modeling in 2005 and soon scored a role as a Moneygirl on the Swiss version of Deal or No Deal. She subsequently competed in a series of beauty pageants: In 2006 she was named Miss Thai Europe. In 2009 she was a finalist in the Miss Ed Hardy and Miss Switzerland pageants. This year, she was the early favorite to win Miss Thailand World but was disqualified for being over the age limit (she is 25).

Whenever I watch an episode of the new Hawaii Five-0 TV series, I have my hapa-dar on full alert. After all, a show that is set in Hawaii is bound to feature a few hapas. And wouldn’t you know it, while watching last week’s episode “Mana’o”, there was guest star Dichen Lachman.

The first thing you notice about Dichen (pronounced DEE-chen) is that she has very striking features. She seems to elicit very strong feelings regarding her looks: either you think she’s strange-looking or she’s drop-dead gorgeous (and it can vary from moment to moment). No doubt this is due in part to her half-Tibetan, half-Australian ancestry.

She was born in Nepal and raised in Australia. Her natural speaking voice has an Australian accent which is quite sexy, but she can do an American accent as well.

You might have seen Dichen as Sierra on the TV series Dollhouse, in which she co-starred with Eliza Dushku (who incidentally is half-Albanian). Or, if you’re from Australia, you may remember her as Katya from the soap opera Neighbours.

Michelle Waterson is a half-Thai, half-Caucasian MMA fighter who has also been a Hooters waitress and a model. She is known as the Karate Hottie, for reasons that will become obvious when you look at the pictures and video below.

She was featured on the Oxygen network TV show Fight Girls around the time she started her MMA career in 2007. She has posted a record of 8-3, including wins in six of her last seven matches. She is currently taking a one-year break from fighting to start a family.

Christina Masterson was on this week’s episode of CSI, playing a teenager named Lexie. She appears in the first two minutes of the episode, entitled “Fracked”, which can be viewed online at CBS.com. (Thanks Bill for the heads-up!)
