Sometimes while walking past a sidewalk newsstand in NYC, I’ll take a quick glance out of the corner of my eye to see whether some magazine cover grabs my attention. Few covers have caught my attention more than the Esther Baxter SSX Magazine Swimsuit Issue from July/August 2006. The woman on the cover (Esther, of course) was gorgeous (a beautiful blend of African-American, Indian, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Norwegian), and her natural 34DDD-24-40 proportions were unreal.
(As an aside, the all-time #1 attention-grabbing magazine cover for me was probably the November 1998 issue of Esquire UK, featuring Jordan aka Katie Price just before her second breast augmentation surgery… she really was a stunningly beautiful woman before she had all that work done… but I digress.)
Esther first came into prominence in 2004 as the featured girl in the music video for Petey Pablo’s “Freek-a-Leek”, which earned her the moniker “Miss Freek-a-Leek”. She went on to star in dozens of music videos before moving on to acting.
Her latest film Speed-Dating was released earlier this year, and she is in the upcoming film Video Girl, which also stars Meagan Good, Melyssa Ford, and Laila Odom.
