Last night, the New York Liberty were eliminated from the WNBA playoffs, losing in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Atlanta Dream. Too bad, because now we’ll have to wait till next year to see more of their cute half-Asian point guard, Leilani Mitchell, in action.
The Liberty have a history of cute point guards (well, one at least), and Leilani follows in that tradition.
She is quite talented: she was named the WNBA’s Most Improved Player for 2010.
According to Wikipedia, she was born to an American father and to an Australian mother of Asian descent (a mix of Filipina, Indian, Malaysian, Singaporean, and others).
