Diane Monique Llamas Lhuillier is a Filipina fashion designer of French, Spanish, and Cebuana descent. She is best known for her wedding gowns and red carpet dresses. She has designed wedding dresses for many celebrities including Britney Spears and Carrie Underwood.
Born in the Philippines, she attended high school in Switzerland, then studied fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, where she met her future husband. In the course of planning their wedding, she became particularly interested in bridal fashion design, so after the wedding she started her self-titled fashion company and launched a bridal collection, and the rest is history.
Yesterday she displayed her latest work at her New York Fashion Week runway show, garnering largely positive reviews (see here and here for examples). More pictures from the show can be seen on Zimbio.
